Capítulo 61: Training new member/allies
Dressrosa, Corrida Colosseum
After their meeting ended, Kenshin didn't waste any time and asked King Riku if he could use the Colosseum which King Riku easily agreed, he then brought Kyros and Tank and started training them.
Kenshin stood in the middle of the colosseum with a cloth tied on his eyes, "I will first show the power of observation haki, so come at me together."
Kyros and Tank who were holding their long sword glanced at each other as they nodded dashing towards Kenshin's sides.
"The very basic level of observation haki is called "Presence Sensing" it allows you to sense the presence of the people around you,"
As Kenshin was speaking Kyros and Tank was already in front of him as they unhesitantly attacked him with their swords.
"Left, Right, Down, Middle,"
Kenshin predicted every attack they made and easily dodge their swords.
"Wow!" Rebecca, seated at the stands, exclaimed in amazement as she saw Kenshin easily dodge every attack with a blindfold on.
After a few rounds of continuous attack, Kyros and Tank started panting as they stopped attacking.
Taking off his blindfold, Kenshin looked at the exhausted looks of the two warriors and said, "Now that you know how helpful observation haki is, it is time for me to train you."
He then tossed two pieces of cloth towards them and instructed, "Stand in the middle and put this on."
"Jinbe, you will teach Tank while I will be the one teaching Kyros," Kenshin said as he stood in front of Kyros.
"Are you prepared to get beaten up?" Kenshin asked with a sadistic smile on his face.
Kyros, who couldn't see anything, felt chills on his spine as he gulped and replied, "I'll be under your care, Kenshin."
Picking up a wooded bat, Kenshin slowly tapped Kyros' left shoulder making him flinch as he hastily dodged to the right.
"Don't just sit there and wait for the bat to touch you, try to sense my presence and follow my movement, don't concentrate on the bat," Kenshin instructed as he slowly taped Kyros' left shoulder again.
Kyros tried his best to concentrate but he still couldn't sense anything, he then felt the bat touch his shoulder again and sighed disappointedly at himself for being too slow to learn.
*BAM!*
As Kyros sighed, Kenshin swung the bat and smashed it on top of Kyros' head, and berated him, "What are you sighing for? don't think that learning observation haki is easy, It took me 2 months just to master this stage that you are currently on."
Rubbing his head, Kyros looked down and apologized, "I'm sorry, I was being too hasty please continue."
"Alright then, hope you prepare yourself."
Kenshin then continued training Kyros while Hiyori and Izo were also training Viola on top of the flower hill.
"What weapon are you capable of using?" Hiyori asked Viola who stood opposite to her.
Viola held her hands together and said with her head down, "I don't know how to use any weapon."
Hiyori nodded her head in understanding and said, "Don't be ashamed, if you don't know how to use any weapon then you could just use your hands and fists."
She then took out a piece of cloth and passed it to Viola saying, "Tie this around your eyes and sit on the ground, you should concentrate on my presence and dodge every single attack that I will strike."
Viola tied her hands with the piece of cloth of nodded her head as she sat down on the grassy field.
Hiyori then took out her scabbard and slowly tapped Viola's right shoulder but as soon as the scabbard was about to touch her Viola suddenly leaned to the left evading the scabbard.
Hiyori had a surprised look on her face as she speeds things up a little but Viola could still dodge every single attack.
"Have you already learned observation haki?" Hiyori asked as she couldn't believe Viola already knew how to sense her presence and her intent to attack.
Viola took off her blindfold and replied, "I didn't know that it was called observation haki but because of my clairvoyance I unconsciously learned how to sense people's presence around me and I could easily sense every single one of your movements earlier."
"What an amazing devil fruit and to think that you managed to learn observation haki on your own is really something to be proud of," Hiyori said complimenting Viola.
Viola blushed hearing Hiyori's compliment and asked, "So does it mean that our training is done already?"
Shaking her head, Hiyori then smirked at Viola as she said, "Not yet, don't worry because Kenshin won't be going anywhere."
"No, I'm not looking for Kenshin. I want, I want to learn more so that I won't be a burden to you guys if we ever faced an opponent in the future." Flustered, Viola said trying to defend herself.
Hiyori chuckled and said, "Alright, alright, seeing that you already know how to use observation haki then it is time for you to learn armament haki."
And with that, Hiyori started training Viola while Izo was guarding the two of them in case something happened.
