Capítulo 21: What is your dream
Ryugu Palace
Kenshin who stayed behind was currently walking with Otohime as they entered a large room.
"Mama!"
Suddenly a big mermaid welcomed them as she swam towards Otohime and nuzzled her head towards the Queen.
"Hello my angel, have you been behaving well while I was away?" Otohime asked as she affectionately caressed her daughter's face.
"Un, I only played with Megalo and behaved well," Shirahoshi said, she then turned her attention towards the human beside her mother and asked curiously.
"Mama, is that a human?"
Otohime chuckled and introduced Kenshin, "Yes, this our human friend, and his name is Kenshin."
"Wow, this is the first time I met a human before," Shirahoshi exclaimed, she then bowed towards Kenshin and said.
"Nice to meet you, Mister Kenshin."
Seeing how polite and respectful Shirahoshi was, Kenshin smiled and replied, "Nice to meet you too, Little Princess."
He then tried to check his pocket and noticed that he didn't bring anything to give for their first meeting, he looked at Shirahoshi who tilted her head in confusion and asked, "Little Princess, what is your dream?"
Hearing Kenshin's question Shirahoshi was surprised at first and then carefully thought for a moment, she then raised her head stared at Kenshin, and replied with a beautiful smile, "My dream is to see what the surface looks like, I only read books about the surface and haven't been there before."
Looking at Shirahoshi who was talking about the surface while looking at the sky Kenshin reached his arm out and wanted to pat the little princess head but she was too tall so he just patted her hands and said, "You see little princess, back in my home country every time a senior visits his or her friend's house and meets their children it is mandatory that we should give them a meeting gift but seeing that I don't have one on me right now, how about I grant you your wish to go and see the surface?"
"Really?! you will really bring me to the surface, Mister Kenshin?" Shirahoshi asked in excitement.
Kenshin nodded his head and reassured the Shirahoshi and said, "Of course, I will look down on myself If I can't even grant you your wish right. but, you have to wait for a little while longer once I am strong enough and take back my country I will surely escort you to the surface and let you see what the surface looks like."
Shirahoshi didn't look disappointed when she heard that she couldn't see the surface but only extended her pinky finger and asked in a cute voice, "Pinky promise?"
Seeing her pinky finger in front of him, Kenshin smiled warmly as he extended his pinky finger and place it on top of Shirahoshi's finger and nodded, "Pinky promise."
