Jack entered his classroom to see the tension that filled the room which was incomparable to the first trial. Everyone was more relaxed than the first as they had gone through two already and knew what to expect ranking wise.
Unless they had a major upgrade most people weren't that nervous of how high they would place. Only the top rankers were nervous due to them competing for rewards.
Jack walked over to his friends getting looks from everyone since he missed the last one. Wondering if he would again clinch first place. Especially the top rankers were worried about if he would be as successful. Some of them held hope for him to have not progressed or that the trial itself wouldn't fit Jack's tribe.
Hanging out with his friends as all three talked without restrictions until their teacher arrived to bring them to the main hall for the trial.
Entering inside Jack noticed a few different decorations that seemed to commemorate the winners of the previous trials as on the wall was a picture of him with the title 1st month winner next to the 2nd month winner.
Once again the teachers commemorated the students and encouraged them before they began to announce the type of trial.
"Today the trial will be a competition between your warriors and the enemy realm. In such a way that they will have to complete a series of objectives. If these objectives are completed within the time limit you will progress onto the next stage." The head teacher explained to the focused students as the students absorbed every hint of information possible.
"There are a maximum of 5 stages if multiple people finish all the stages than they will compete against each other to determine the ranking." The head teacher finished as all the students were teleported to their respective arenas.
Looking around Jack saw an empty almost illusionary plane where he could place his believers.
After a second he received information detailing the trial and the preparation stage. He could summon all his warriors into this plane that would then be transferred to the enemy's realm to complete the objectives. While inside the preparation phase the god(Jack) could freely communicate with the believers without penalty.
Jack reviewed the rules and information before summoning all the dragonoids and adult kobolds since this was a virtual arena and death was not permanent.
Informing the warlock of the what he would have to do. Objectives would consist of different targets. Buildings, monuments, leaders and resources are possible targets. Killing extra enemies would contribute no extra points to your final score.
Also Jack would be informed of the objective before each fight so he can inform his followers.
Jack waited until the first fight started.
Jack watched as his view switched from a barren plane with his warriors standing in line to a view of grassy hills and mountains covered in various varieties of trees, bushes and different shrubbery.
The kobolds and dragonoids were together in formation as the scouts were swiftly sent out to the nearby forest.
After a 17 minutes a kobold rushed back to inform the warlock of a nearby outpost of goblins that numbered 30 at first glance. This number only counted the visible goblins on the outside so more than thirty in total.
Jack watched as the warlock considered his options since the objective for this map was to destroy a monument. As that was the only information known currently the warlock sent out several scouts to survey the camp looking for the objective.
After the scouts left the warlock led the army in a slow march in that direction as they camped outside view of the camp waiting for further instruction.
Jack looked around the goblin camp to find out more information in case he needed to give it. Though he doubted it since his believers could easily deal with the maybe 100 goblins in total including 20 females and 30 children. The monument itself was a giant rock decorated with different pelts, clothes and liquids with a giant stick standing upright from the top.
Sighing to himself Jack watched as the warlock successfully scouted the camp before just completely obliterating the camp with a frontal assault of several hundred kobolds led by dozens of dragonoids.
Quickly moving onto the next map Jack realized that his realm is still plenty strong for the current challenges as he flawlessly won the first three maps alongside the minimal casualties of the last two.
Getting past the preset enemies Jack wondered what other students he would battle. He was informed a little bit after the fifth victory how the final competition would take place.
Overall everyone would compete for a specific placing so everyone was assigned a number and you could challenge anyone above you to take their place. After everyone was content with their placing the trial would end with that placing as the ranking. Everyone outside the final ranking would be judged on how many realms were defeated and how much they achieved on their final realm,
Jack was assigned number 6 and tried challenging number 1 but they were in the middle of a fight. So going down the list he found number 3 wasn't in a battle so the challenge began.
Jack observed the new battlefield before him. Since the final battle would contain both offense and defense the two sides were separated by a curtain of light as each team learned the layout of their new base.
Jack discussed strategy with the warlock of sending the dragonoids to destroy the objectives. The warlock as the leader would be an objective so he would stay in base with the several hundred kobolds protecting the village hall, granary and statue of Jack in the middle of the village. The granary contained food so the food itself had to be destroyed not the building.
Jack waited anxious for the battle to start curious to see the strategy his enemy would use.
