The van pulled over just before arriving at the gates of Sundial. Katya looked out the window. The grounds were beautiful, even in winter. In the center of the courtyard was a large sculpture of a working sundial. Katya thought about how this town was the world's center of time. Greenwich Mean Time is the standard in which all time zones are based.

Waiting for Nancy's message was difficult, and the time pilgrims were getting antsy and nervous.

"I wish Dawn and Lesley were here," said Cheryl. She looked at Katya. "When you girls were together against a common foe, you were like superheroes. Dawn would move people in space while Les would knock them out with her martial arts."

"I don't remember any of that," said Katya. "I remember fighting alongside Cathy in the Gold Rush."

"So do I," agreed Cathy.

Cheryl made a face. "No, see, in the original timeline, it was Dawn who went with Cathy to San Francisco, not you, Kat."
