Elgin, March 25, 2037, Present Evening
Louie pulled into the parking lot of Gromer's Char house with Centehua. But before he could park his Chevy Vega 3X, Centehua protested.
"I thought we were just going for a quick bite to eat, like maybe Beef Villa or Lazzara's pizza. Why are you eating here?"
"I wanted to go to a sit-down restaurant and be waited on," answered Louie.
"They wait on you at Lazzara's, and it's close to work. But since we're on this side of town, can we please just go to Paul's Restaurant then," she pleaded.
"Oh, all right," Louie quipped, pulling back out onto McLean Boulevard. "You know, I would have paid."
Louie parked the car, and they were seated quickly in the Elgin mainstay family eatery. They both ordered the pot roast special, and the waitress brought their exotic juices.
