The chirping of crickets constantly invaded my ears even though the windows were shut tight, while I comfortably lay on my bed with the AC on at full blast. All the while I was going endlessly through youtube shorts on my phone though it did little to decrease the absolute boredom I was experiencing.

A week had passed since the break started, and I had already finished all the worksheets I had been given for summer homework so that I could relax after finishing everything. But now, I had nothing to do. It was really hot outside which instantly killed any plans to go somewhere for me. And staying at home was really boring. Sure, I could play all I wanted. But the moment I was free to do anything I didn't feel like playing the games I loved.

"ding"

Just then a notification popped up on my phone.

It was a line message from Akari.

<Want to go to a water park together?>
