Ch 70
POV Makoto Shinji
The Red team was in the lead in the beginning, but right now it was the white that was in the front.
The batons exchanged hands a few times and the distance between the two teams closed slowly. When Akari got handed the baton she did run very fast, but since her opponent was Tsukumo who was in the track and field club, the most she managed to do was not fall behind.
Soon the climax of the race started with the anchors of both teams getting hold of the baton, one of which was Nishikawa. Luckily during the whole race, nobody fumbled the baton which I had been afraid of happening.
Since this was the last event of the day, all of the spectators were cheering for their teams with all their might. It was loud enough to remind me of all the concerts I had been to in my life.
Okay. Listen.
This is the second last chapter of this volume. The next chapter, that is, the last chapter of vol 1 is a bit... different compared to the rest of the series to say the least.
I wanted to end the volume with a bang you know. Don't worry we will continue the slice of life from vol 2. Just bear with me if you find the next chapter very out of place and confusing.
btw I will release it tomorrow.
