Heat rose to my cheeks, and I suddenly felt like I was fifteen again. For a moment, I stared at him as I thought back to the first time I'd met him. Back then, I had wanted him to do everything with me. I realized nothing had changed and I had still felt the same.
"I want him to see us together."
"Like in a coffee shop?" He bit back a grin. I knew it was his way of goading me to say exactly what I wanted. He leaned on the counter between us and I took a step back.
"No, I want him to turn up here and see me in a compromising position with you."
"Valerie, how do we do that when you wouldn't even let me hug you just now?"
I felt my face redden and forced myself to make eye contact with him. "That's not true. I was just busy welcoming you and making coffee."
Flynn snickered, pushed off the countertop, and put his hands out toward me. He beckoned me with his hands. "Then I'll take that hug now; it's long overdue."
