My heart was pounding. I could not believe what had just happened. I could not believe that I had just won. I had placed first in the whole tournament. What did this mean for that time when I raced against Makai two weeks ago?

Had I gotten faster or was it because I was sick? But, what about all the times he beat me when he first got here? Was I just unnerved by him or something? Why couldn't I beat him back then?

All of this was just so confusing. However, I was just happy to have won. I was glad that I could show them all what it was that I could do. And this would be something I could rub into Brittney's face while turning her down when she came crawling back to me.
