Camilla swallowed hard at the words. Mrs Hill's eyes widened, not knowing what to do. Alex pressed his lips together into a thin line, tossed the napkin that was in his hand onto the table and stood up.

"You will not disrespect Camilla in her own house!" Alex spoke quietly, but with a menacing tone.

"This is not her house. And yours. It's much more mine, that I'm your mother, than this little bitch!" Dunnia spoke and it made Alex completely lose his composure. Camilla still wasn't ready to get up on her own, but she did, enduring the pain. Alex held her around the waist so she had more support.

"She's not-"

"I'm no 'little bitch,' Ms. Strauss. Yes, this is Alex's house, but that's not why you can just humiliate me here! I did nothing to deserve your treatment, to be polite, rude!" Camilla spoke, holding back tears.

"Oh please! Gonna cry? Alex, I don't know how you got wrapped up in her. Claire was a thousand ve-"
