Capítulo 29: Chapter 29

“Bethany!” Vie’s voice broke the moment like a bomb exploding between the three of us.

I looked up to find her holding my cellphone towards me as she hung off the rail slightly.

“It’s Trina and Robert,” Vie said with a wink.

Vie knew all about the offer that Robert had given me to move up to Canada with them and become their sub. She also knew about what happened between Kevin, Alyssa, and I.

I didn’t understand why she was interrupting a conversation as personal as this. She must have at least gotten the gist of everything from where she was sitting.

Suddenly, there was a twinkle of un-Vie-like mischief in her eyes that bothered me. She was obviously up to something, and I had a feeling I was not going to like it, whatever it was. I narrowed my gaze at her, thinking strongly that it might be better to ask Trina to call me back. However, I realized the choices were: deal with Trina or deal with Kevin and Alyssa.
