Roman felt unsettled even though the date between his younger self and Penny had gone well. There wasn't really anything else he and Percy could do from this point forward except wait.
They couldn't tail them to the aquarium they tracked their phones to because they didn't have the money. Another week or two of this and they were going to get kicked out of the hotel, not have enough to eat, or both.
"Shouldn't we have been sent home after the first date went well?" he dared to ask.
Percy scowled. "That's what I assumed. I don't know what else we can do. Maybe we really are stuck here forever."
Roman really, really didn't want to believe that. Wasn't the whole point of this so that everyone could be happy? Though he supposed, technically speaking, everyone would be if you counted their younger selves in their places.
