Capítulo 98: A Kidnapping, Huh?

Penelope slept better that night than she had the entire time she was in the other world. Being back in Roman's arms and on a decent mattress did wonders. 

She woke up in an excellent mood as soon as Roman's first alarm went off and snuggled closer, holding him hostage while it snoozed. He was really here. She hadn't been dreaming yesterday. 

Feeling bereft when he got up before her, Penelope ended up following him downstairs and eating breakfast a bit earlier than usual so she could do it with him. He got food out for both Arlo and the nameless cat while she started the coffee machine. 

"They're awfully cute, aren't they," she said casually as she watched them eat. 

Roman nodded. "Yeah. I still can't believe we got a dog and a cat at the same time. I never thought you were interested in having pets."
