“Prince Ehsan…. Is there a problem?” The servant behind him asked.
Ehsan turned to look at him, holding the plate of meat.
“Never mind, just give me something.” He said in a low voice focusing on the table instead.
In the past three days, he was pissed thinking that the girl had given up too soon. However, seeing her in this place as a maid to the princess did not make sense. He took the spoon, eating the food silently while his eyes glanced at the masked maid in the room. There was hardly enough conversation at the table. Only Nafeesa was chattering about her wants for the king. The king was only nodding to her words. Ehsan raised his head, looking at Lais.
‘Did he abandon her?’ Lais was silently looking at the plate. He did not even look at the room around him.
‘He does not seem like someone who would abandon anyone. Then why is that girl?’ He sighed and pulled the glass of water beside him.
