“What does it say? Will we get any help from Amanecer?” Dylan was impatient.

“There is something wrong in the castle of this state. The king excused himself for being sick.” Darce passed the letter to him.

“The king is sick and taken to bed; the princes are too young to handle the request. The castle is shut down as the sickness can be contagious. What are they trying to imply here?” Dylan waved the paper in fury.

“This means we are on our own and no one will help us in this state. Instead, we have to bring our evidence to the castle before we can leave this place.” Darce put his mouth on his chin thinking.

“This is a setup to steal what we have,” Tom said frowning. “We cannot let these reports disappear.”

“We will be stopped at the border gate by the royal army if we try to leave this place. I am sure they have already sent their soldiers on the road.” Dylan crumpled the letter in his hand.
