Capítulo 262: V.3-C.60│Empyrean Victorious V│

Zonama Sekot.

The planet Anakin had gone to a long time ago.

The planet that Anakin had gotten Jabitha, his living ship that has helped him numerous times ever since. Her connection to him being closer than even the one that was broken between Jabitha and 'her' birth planet itself.

'This is a living planet, one large organism, more than the sum of its parts.' Anakin thought as he landed on said planet.

Zonama Sekot was unique from other worlds. Its north polar region, a spot of pearl white was surrounded by an entire hemisphere of tropical jungles. Its southern hemisphere was covered with impenetrable silvery clouds.

Along the equator there were several rivers, lakes, and small seas. The edge of the southern hemisphere was also covered by elegant wisps of wind which frequently broke free to form spinning storms.

Having chased Onimi down was simple enough, given he had gone to here, a planet that was now just a part of the last system in the Deep Core under the control of the Yuuzhan Vong.

'What happened though?' Anakin wondered why Zonama Sekot was under the control of the Yuuzhan Vong, or more precisely why it was under the control of Onimi.

Anakin could sense that things were off, but he wasn't able to put a word to it or was able to properly describe this feeling. 'No, I know how I could describe it. Corrupted...' Whatever it was that was happening, it was also messing with the Yuuzhan Vong.

Somehow, someway, Anakin knew that the corruption spread through Coruscant and into other worlds and systems had its hands in this... battle of his against what is supposed to be the last threat that he would possibly ever face off against.

A living, sentient world capable of traveling through space. Zonama was the planet itself, while Sekot was the living intelligence of Zonama. It was also the seed of the original Yuuzhan Vong homeworld, Yuuzhan'tar, which had been destroyed during the Cremlevian War.

Knowing where he needed to go, Anakin followed his senses.

Onimi was a male Yuuzhan Vong. A Shamed Shaper, he was the only Force-sensitive of his species apart from another mysterious figure, and an arguable exception. Onimi was revealed to be the true power behind the Yuuzhan Vong.

Onimi was a Shaper and a member of the Elite. At some point he realized that the eighth cortex, supposedly holding the knowledge necessary to survive the decades of war that the Yuuzhan Vong had doomed themselves to, was empty.

After adding yammosk tissue to his brain, which was most likely the action that restored his connection to the Force, given the yammosk's natural telepathy, Onimi was marked as a Shamed One, taking the form of a mentally and physically twisted, demented creature. He blamed the gods, especially Yun-Harla the Trickster goddess, for his afflictions.

While Onimi seemed weak, with his torso twisted, short limbs, small hands, and his wretched face being his worst feature, his repulsive physical features and lowly social status caused him to be underestimated; he was seen by the Royal Court as an annoyance, a Shamed One who Supreme Overlord Shimrra should not dirty his presence with. But for reasons unknown to them, Shimrra tolerated his pet.

This was because despite his diminutive and pitiful appearance, Onimi now possessed a connection to the Force that had been lost to the Yuuzhan Vong for many thousands of years. This gave him the power to manipulate the minds of others.

His experiments also gave him other powers; not only was he able to amplify the energy flowing through his mismatched form, but he could create deadly toxins and chemicals through his metabolism and release them through almost every bodily fluid he produced, such as his sweat or saliva.

He could even secrete toxins out of his nails.

Seeing an opportunity for redemption in the Intendant Supreme Overlord Shimrra, Onimi had influenced him into taking him as a familiar, becoming a jester for the new leader.

Using this proximity to the Supreme Overlord to his advantage, Onimi manipulated Shimrra and the other Yuuzhan Vong to mastermind the invasion of the galaxy that the species chose as their new home. Onimi wished to be the salvation of his race.

Onimi did not limit himself to appearances as the court jester. Indeed, under the name Kae Kwaad, he worked side by side with the heretical Nen Yim to create the eighth cortex and new technologies for the Yuuzhan Vong.

The invasion of the chosen galaxy was not going as planned; through Shimrra, Onimi tasked Nen Yim with filling the eighth cortex.

Other than this, he busied himself about the court of Shimrra, cackling in obscene rhymes and daring to do that which no other would during meetings with the Elite.

However, Onimi had no mind for war; he could not be blamed for the mistakes of Warmaster Tsavong Lah, for the rise of the heretical movements, or for the tenacity of the 'infidels' whose galaxy he had sought to take. The invasion was failing.

'No, it has failed.' The twisted mind of Onimi was working hard of what actions he should take next, for he was a failure now, more than ever before.

More than a shamed one, for he has doomed his race, his species, but he was not bothered. Not one bit was he bothered even after all he had done and all he wanted to do ended as it was, and as it is.

This bio-creation was one of the most distinctive within the bestiary of the Yuuzhan Vong empire. Yuuzhan Vong biotechnology was generally not self-aware, but yammosks were at least partially sentient.

Physically, yammosks resembled huge brains, kept in vats, which trailed thousands of tentacles.

Its only solid bodily structure was its single tooth, which was hidden within its boneless flesh. The tooth was capable of burying itself against an object with incredible force, allowing it to break through rock and ice, which it did by the secretion of acids.

After breaking through an obstacle, the yammosk began the process of burying itself in a crevasse which served as its 'home.'

A yammosk was spawned rather than created.

Shifting and grafting himself, Onimi was one of the most corrupted forms of life. Or, he was also one of the most disordered and chaotic of beings known to the galaxy, as his form was something less and something more.

All the same, with his connection to the Force he was powerful. Powerful enough to any and everything he had put his mind into, only to fail at actually achieving his goals he had set out to do.

"You shall never end me! Not until I save my people!" Onimi called out in his native tongue as Anakin chased after him.

His life flashing before his eyes as he wanted nothing more than to establish himself connected to the planet. Onimi had experienced somewhat of the gods appearing before him in the shape of some woman.

A womanly, motherly figure that called to him and gave him comfort and warmth. Onimi had never known such kindness, especially in a race that was anything but kind.

"Stop right there!" Anakin, the human emperor that was chasing after him had called back as Onimi descended into the very depths of this living planet, a shift in the Force moving everything.

Onimi was bald, his eyes the color of yellow with scarlet tints, no doubt originating from whatever corruption he had been within.

Whether that be from the dark itself, or now his very nature becoming more and more black in color.

"Stop! It is over! You are finished!" Anakin called out to Onimi as he was now a jump away from the core of the planet known as Zonama Sekot.

"You can't stop me! I am blessed by her majesty, her greatest that lies in the great deep!" Onimi called back, his eyes made with fervor for whatever or whoever this being was.

"Who are you talking about?" Anakin asked calmly, having come closer.

"Of course! It is the mistress. She is my goddess. My one and only thing that I put above myself and above the rest of my race. The Yuuzhan Vong and myself are nothing before her grace, and it is through her disorder that I may live as I am." Onimi said, explaining himself while also not really saying anything at the same time.

It was confusing, and Anakin was still fully suited against such a person, as there is not telling what they would do next. "Tell me more. Let me know more."

"Never! She is mine! My precious and she has gifted me this planet in exchange for my continued, unending services!" Onimi stated, replying to Anakin's request.

"Gifted?" Anakin was now getting closer to the truth now, and would be continuing to fish for information that Onimi seems to like sharing.

"Yes, gifted! Zonama Sekot. It is known by but most of all is the fact that my people, the beings I was born with see this planet as their god. A god or divine being, just as others see you as a god, but you are nothing!" Onimi was frantic, pacing back and forth, his form becoming more and less of what he is to be and what he would not be.

His face melted and bubbled and pulsated in a grotesque manner.

Having had enough of his riddles, Anakin launched himself forward but was unable to get Onimi as he seemed to notice beforehand what Anakin was planning and feel in.

Deeper and deeper he went, his body expanding and forevermore would become nothing like he wanted. 'Disorder...?' Anakin was confused and had a distinct feeling that it wasn't over just yet.

Rumbling started, before an earthquake fully hit Anakin on the planet as it shook like never before. This living planet was dying, and in the depths of the core, Onimi seemed to be having the last laugh.

His voice spread in the form of the Force, right into Anakin's ability to perceive him as such. 'She is coming. The end is coming. The darkness, the chaos, the disorder, the goddess of madness... You are to be meet by her, slain and resurrected in a form that she would like. You are to be remade into what you were always meant to be!'

Anakin held his head for a bit, having received the message and decided to get off the planet as soon as possible.

Zonama Sekot was letting out her own cry herself.

Whatever was happening now is outside of Anakin's control as he boosted himself past everything and boarded one of the ships he had commandeered.

[]

From space, Zonama Sekot seemed to malfunction, twist in on itself and start to implode, creating a massive wave of energy that spread out and caused no damage to its surroundings.

As if the last will of the planet itself was to go against whatever was holding the living planet by its neck, squeezing the life out of it until it was no more.

It was truly dying now, and whatever small connection that may have resurfaced, things were dying.

Onimi had gotten his wish in the form of destroying the gods before him, and would even have some of his people saved by Anakin and brought into the Empyrean for reeducation. After all, their current ways and standards of life was wholly and entirely bad.

In the end, the Empyrean was supposedly victorious.

The Yuuzhan Vong was supposedly lost, however they lived, survived and would be able to continue themselves in this new galaxy. One that was not being destroyed and devastated by apocalyptic things, and the battles of those that destroyed many more.

Onimi dead, Shimrra dead. The Yuuzhan Vong left without leader capitulated as their leader, their Supreme Overlord was the last, never to have anymore in their history from now until forevermore.

Anakin was out in this space, far away enough and having escaped watched with interest and grim attitude needed to figure out more of what is to come.

Looking towards another direction. The center. The core of the universe that was a black hole. Gigantic and massive in size, however, for Anakin it seemed like there was something more.

'Or something less...' He narrowed his eyes as he gazed upon the center of this galaxy.
