Capítulo 29: The witty Lilit's (Part - 3)
The biggest problem at that time was Mr. Castillo injured hand which could prove them guilty even though they are not.
It's not up to us to decide whether we want to show my father's hand or not, it's up to the King to decide. If this continues on there might be more serious problem then I thought.
Theo glanced at Jasper, his eyes were curiously waiting for her next move and she turned her gaze up to the King.
What lies within the King smiling face, it's hard to read!
"Your majesty, please let everyone see Mr. Castillo right arm and get satisfied!" said Kade Lilit.
Tsk, this old man just wants to satisfy himself. What an evil idea to get rid of us.
The King glanced at Mr. Castillo and then Theo, his smile faded and face become neutral. Since all the official present there was looking forward to see Mr. Castillo arm, even the King could not stop them and gave him his permission.
Mr. Lilit smirked as he lowered his head to show respect to the King decision.
'Soon, the Castillo existence will only found in books in a villainous way. It all thanks to that assassin who came by to insult me and ended up giving me such an amazing idea,' Mr. Kade thought as he smirked and looked at Mr. Castillo.
Mr. Castillo was already pale from the beginning since his hand was giving him a bad time, but now that the things went wrong, the colors of his lips turned light and he gulped while sweating.
He looked at Theo, his eyes filled with warmth and he forcefully smiled just to calm Theo.
Theo who was silently standing there felt a heavy feeling in her heart as she saw his father gentle eyes toward her even in that situation.
It was filled with affections and reminded her of her real family who loved her even when others called her cursed.
Why do he have to show his affectionate gaze right now of all times? I hate to admit but it's hard to control the tears who come out of nowhere just to fu*k my fool self.
Clenching her fist, she turned her gaze another way to keep her eyes clear rather then cloudy, but saw Jasper sharp gaze.
He was wearing a stern face, his gaze piercing while Selena was chuckling and whispering something in his ears.
She completely ignored him and took out her smart phone and typed something before keeping it back.
"What do you think she did just now!" Selena said curiously.
"Who knows, but you should keep your darn mouth shut since I have already warned you," Jasper replied haughtily.
She rolled her eyes, her arms folded and she said, "Are you getting angry because I said that your toy will lose in this fight?".
He didn't gave her a glance and looked at Mr. Kade instead, who was dying to quickly pull Mr. Castillo sleeves up.
"Why would I be angry over something like that? If he fails to prove his father innocence even after rushing here mindlessly, then I will kill him! There is no need for me to keep useless people," he said and glanced at Theo who suddenly glared at him.
She simply glared because her ears heard what he said.
Well I was expecting that much!
Theo calmed herself with that thought and looked at Mr. Lilit.
Jasper who just got a glare without knowing the reason felt confused, 'Why did he looked at me like that? It's not like he can hear me, right?'.
Mr. Castillo started to slowly raise his sleeves.
Everyone stopped murmuring and stared at his hand curiously, as he slowly raised his sleeves, everyone gulped, their eyes on his every movements.
He unbuttoned the sleeves but Theo stopped him before he could raise it above.
"Calm down and be confident, I am here for you," she whispered and backed off.
Hearing the cheering words coming out from her mouth, he smiled.
Even though it seemed empty but it was courageous, since he felt his daughter words powerful enough to lose the fear budding in his heart.
'I know that there is nothing she can do, but I feel nice that she said those words. If her mother was still alive, she would be proud of her!' he thought and nodding to Theo, quickly pulled his sleeves up.
Mr. Kade saw what he was dying to see and become happy but hid his smile to avoid any suspiciousness.
In front of them was the bandaged hand of Mr. Castillo which was pretty similar to how Mr. Kade had explained to others.
"Your majesty! Please bring me justice!" he said loudly and kneeled while smirking inside his head.
All the officials were shocked since it proved that the Castillo's have tried to murder an imperial officer, but Theo didn't lost her calm.
Her calm was just for the outsiders to see from inside she was burning hard just to kill Kade Lilit.
Fu*k! I made a mistake by letting him live. I should had killed him when I had the chance, now he is trying to put the knife toward my neck, but I will make sure that he meets the king of hell after dying from the hands of the King present here.
The King sighed, his foul mood could be sensed by anyone and he didn't make any conclusion and asked from Mr. Castillo, "How did this happened?".
"Your majesty, he is guilty of trying to assassinate me, so even if you ask him, he will never tell you the truth," Mr. Kade urged with his innocent face.
Mr. Castillo was looking down but as Theo put her hand on his shoulder and talked with some glances, he looked ahead confidently.
I heard many brave stories about my father but he seems to have lost his confidence because of what happened just after I came to this world.
Since, it is my fault from the beginning, I will take care of it, too! Looking toward the big door through which was left open, she glanced at her watch as if waiting for someone.
Kade Lilit was furiously asking for justice but stopped after Theo walked in front and stopped, "Your majesty! If you give me some time, I can prove my father innocence," she said.
The King smiled and nodded but Mr. Kade stood like an obstacle, "Your majesty!" he urged, "please don't give them even one day or I am afraid that with their power, they might change the evidence and do something wrong to prove themselves".
Theo frowned, she was disgusted by the way he was begging and said, "Who is asking for a day, I just need half an hour and I will prove it. Anyway, your begging style is too unique, Mr. Lilit, you might become a teacher of fraudulent beggars with your skills, but I have to say that it still sucks!".
He become enraged by her words and glared at her but seeing how his majesty was not showing any sign of being offended, he silently gulped and looked down.
"Ok, give you half an hour. You can do whatever you want and ask whatever you need," The king said and sighed after looking at Selena who was laughing after being amused by Theo's words.
"Oh my god! He is, too, good with his words!" she said and gasped as she saw her father glaring at her.
She looked another way aloofly as if her laughter never existed and peeked at the King who shook his head in dismay.
'Huh! Look at them and look at his son, even after facing mental problems, he is still standing at front to prove for his father. I know that Castillo have done nothing but even I need evidence to help him or I could do nothing, so now, everything rests in his son's hand,' the King thought and took a deep breath.
"Mr. Kade, can you describe anything about that assassin, even his body structure will do," Theo asked, her eyes looking down at him. H
e felt a chill going through his spines, it was an indescribable feeling that was making him hesitate to utter even a single word and he glanced at Mr. Castillo and said, "His physical appearance looked just like Mr. Castillo and that's why I was so suspicious of him".
As he said he looked at Theo's expression and flinched after seeing her smirk.
'No, I have to remain calm or they will use it against me and moreover it's not like they have any evidence against me, so I should remain calm and see the destruction of Castillo family with my own eyes,' Kade Lilit thought and gulped while taking a few deep breaths just to calm his trembling body.
"Then what was the time when the assassin attacked you?" she asked.
He felt jolted by that question alone, because the time difference between Mr. Castillo getting shot by a gun and he got toyed with an assassin was about 5 hours apart.
"Your majesty, I don't know why he is asking such questions but I am getting afraid by just thinking about yesterday night when I was almost about to get killed," he made an excuse for his silence.
Theo smirked and said to demean him, "I never knew that the Marshal son will be so scared by an assassin that he would reject to answer me but would shout it loud to everyone when it comes to justice".
Not knowing what to do, Kade Lilit stood up from the kneeling position and shouted, "You have no right to demean my father even if you are a prince! It's a crime against my father who have served this country for a long time".
"Mr. Lilit, don't shout in front of me because I am not as merciful as that assassin who let you live. I never insulted your father, rather its you who wants to escape using your father's name. Just cut the chase already and answer me honestly," Theo shouted.
Her loud voice scared the hell out of Mr. Kade and even the officers who were speaking behind Mr. Castillo and his family.
