Vasso gaped at Vanty as if she had just said the most stupid thing in the whole universe. He did not understand why she had a problem with ambition. This was not the first time that she had expressed her discontentment with things he wanted to do.

"It is", Vanty replied.

"Hear me out. I want that land. There are lots of things to gain from having the monopoly of the Ziviel Kingdom", King Vasso said. "My soldiers are still there. If I withdraw them, some of them might not come back because they have sympathized with Thress' cause. If I want to use the power I have here and wage a siege on Ziviel, I do not know how the outcome would be, because I am of the opinion that Thress must have gathered forces for himself. That is the wise thing to do, and it is what I would do if I were in his shoes"
