Capítulo 116: The inconvenient request

The smile on Vincent's face immediately fell to the ground. If she had asked to not put an impending deadline on the marriage, then he would have understood but this was too much. "You push your luck too much, Prudence," Vincent grabbed her lower face, "just because I am not angry anymore doesn't mean I won't get furious at that offer." 

This was expected by Prudence to happen. Which was why she did not resist his aggression, even though her cheeks hurt. 

"His Grace," Prudence spoke, "I will hold my promise well. The fact that I was kept here against my will, I am ready to put it in the past. As you asked, I will be more observant of you and not the life around here but you should also understand I am giving away a lot. It is a simple request to at least honour my wishes in the times of my marriage. I do not want to wish to be forced into it like I was forced into this manor."
