Prudence had nodded for Vincent to have her blood but then she had closed her eyes to embrace whatever her fate held now. Her hands rested on her own lap trying not to touch him. It would only make her come off as receptive for something more than what His Grace had planned right now. 

Even when Prudence sat in his lap, her neck barely came to his face length. 

Vincent shifted to be comfortable in his seat. His hand travelled down Prudence's back, over the fabric of her shirt. The gloves he wore and the dress which covered her only frustrated him that the fabrics separated them. He knew very well if he pushed her enough she would tip down her balance of self control and give herself to him. Vincent brought his right hand to hold her closer while his left hand came up to caress her cheek on the other side. Prudence's eyelid gently fluttered as her eyes kept shut.
