Capítulo 5: A strange but powerful ability
Bill just stares at me intently, with a hint of revenge in his brown eyes. Everytime I look over, he's just staring at me, occasionally putting an ice pack to his cheek. It's really creepy if you ask me.
"Bill Fletcher and Andrew Dyllans," the lady at the desk called out. Her eyes instantly met his, catching him in the act of staring with pure hatred at me. "Principle Mullins would like to see you."
Principle Mullins wasn't that scary of a guy when you see him. Just a guy with slicked back black hair, a white dress-shirt, and just some black jeans with a pair of black dress-shoes. But when you meet him is a different story. You can see the disciplined aura coming from his body. Not one person will say, "Mr. Mullins is a nice guy." No no no, that's not how it works around here. But the thing that no one will ever forget is what his chasm watch can do.
"I see that you two got into a serious fight. Care to explain?" Mullins asked.
"I—" Bill cut me off.
"Sir, Andrew has been taking my money for lunch everyday since I met him back in December," he lied. If he was going to try and lie, he was pulling one of the most riskiest moves in his life. "If you do the calculations sir, he owes me 5,000 dollars." A smug smile stuck to his face like glue.
Bull! There was no freaking way he was gonna try and pull a move like that. Either he forgot or he's really dumb to try and do this.
"Andrew, is this true?" Mullins famous line was activated. Bill's face suddenly turned a ghostly white, as if remembering Mr. Mullins' ability. No matter how I answered, Bill was going to be in serious trouble either way. The question was, how was I going to go down?
"Sir, with all respects, it wasn't true," I finally declared. Bill's face was still a ghostly pale, because if I told the opposite, the situation would have the same outcome for Bill.
"I see..." Mr. Mullins closed his eyes. A brief scent filled the air, then he opened his eyes. "I see that you are telling the truth. Please feel free to wait outside my office."
I opened the door, thinking of how bad this situation was going to be for Bill. The reason he pulled such a risky move was because he only thought that the rumors were only rumors, but it turns out they were true. He witnessed the power to see and feel auras of truth and lies. A rare ability it was.
Even so, I wondered what would have happened if I lied to Mr. Mullins. At least I had the brain to tell the truth, that's for sure.

I hear chattering in the office, a slight sound of crying too. Finally, the doorknob turned and out came a red cheeked Bill. "Mrs. Poziol," Mr. Mullins yelled, "Make sure he gets all of his things."
A small tear was shed from Bill, and I felt a small bit of sympathy for him. Why I felt sympathy towards him? I have no clue.
"Andrew, it's your turn now," Mr. Mullins called out from his desk.
I hesitated before sitting down in the metal chair, straight across from Mr. Mullins.
"Now then, shall we get down to business?"
