Capítulo 62: Chapter Sixty-Two

Despite all the valid excuses I gave Fawn is insistent that I do the uglier part of today's mission.

Worse is, I don't even know if she's a complete nutjob that walks into the street in broad daylight and kills people. I have no idea why these people have to die.

So I asked.

Her response is an incredulous look, one in her stockpile of looks she's shared with me since we met. Would I ever see beneath the prepared reactions? Maybe but it feels unlikely.

"Isn't obvious?" 

Awkwardly she doesn't say anything after that so I prod her again, "No, it's not, enlighten me will you?"

"Those are our rivals, no, not rivals, pests. I thought you'd know all this, you're the one that's meant to be the expert."

"Why would I ever be the expert?" I almost yell. But I can't see why I would be the expert at all, I'm a teen!
