I could tell that Jacy had not exactly been happy with the last minute news that I had given her. I really hadn't intended to surprise her with it. Truly, if my cousin Winston hadn't texted me asking me if anything was changing this month compared to the last meeting I wouldn't have even remembered about it myself.

How horrible would that have looked, huh? The Alpha of the pack not showing up for the big meeting that is only held every other month. I always hated the meetings but that is no reason for me to skip them altogether.

Granted, one of the reasons why I hated them so much was because so many of the sluts in the pack threw themselves at me every chance they got. They just wanted a position of power and they didn't care about the fact that we weren't mated. They were hoping that even if I didn't mate with them I would take them as a second wife or something. They were truly delusional.
