One night, Johnny had once again boldly approached the female ghost. He is lucky, though, because the 'disturbance' is nowhere in sight.
The female is alone, and the fireflies who guard her are not around. Johnny takes this chance to brush his presence in front of her.
The female ghost aimlessly floated around the rooftop of the Jupiter Building, her lengthy white dress elegantly swept across the ground like a proud peacock tail.
He always looked at her from afar, barely catching a glimpse of her beautiful face. Now that he had shortened the distance between them, he could finally admire her peerless(?) beauty at a close range.
Her silky black hair fluttered behind her, dancing alongside the night breeze, and her eyes which shone in the dark like a cat's pupils, seemed far more charming than usual, making him unable to tear his gaze from her.
"Hello!" He excitedly greeted her with enthusiasm. "I'm Johnny. Beauty, what's your name?"
The female ghost glanced at him, uninterested and unperturbed by his presence.
Her long eyelashes fluttered like a pair of butterfly wings, and her pale, bloodless plump lips appeared more seductive under the moonlight.
The frown she had on her face subtly displayed her fragility but only for a moment before she gazed into the horizon, seemingly reminiscing about something from her past.
"Can you please stop ignoring me, beauty?" Johnny tried very hard to deepen his sense of presence. "Aren't you bored, standing alone here without companions?"
"...."
"Where is your guardian deity? Shouldn't they be here with you?"
"...."
"Beauty, I'm a talkative ghost, so I hope we can become friends and have a hearty conversation together." He moved sideways, occupying her line of sight as the female ghost tried to look elsewhere, avoiding him.
Her shoulders are stiff, and she is determined to ignore him.
"Beauty..."
"..." She turned right, and Johnny had to follow suit.
"Beau.."
"..." She turned her body to the left, and regrettably, Johnny had to follow her and move his body. Where her eyes lay upon, and there will be Johnny appear.
Both are in this situation for ten minutes.
Johnny: "..." Are they playing Galah Panjang here?
(A/N: Galah Panjang is one of the famous Malaysian traditional games usually played by children. This game does not require any equipment and is not an individual game. Furthermore, it requires two separate teams of attackers and defenders; it consists of not less than four people.)
Johnny felt an unprecedented sense of crisis. The beauty is obviously unwilling to pay any attention to him! Isn't this bad?! He loses before he even starts!
"Would you like to play ball with me?" Johnny hastily lifted his own head, detached it from its original place, and his hands fumbled awkwardly.
The result is quite dizzying. Everything in front of Johnny appeared upside down like they were hanging in the sky.
Oh, he is the wrong one. The one hanging bottom-side-up is him.
"...I want to vomit..." Johnny's face turned ugly, and he urged his hands to correct his head's position before tragedy befall.
"Pff..."
Whether his ears played a trick on him or not, he seemed to hear a peal of soft laughter from her. However, when he looked at her again, her face was indifferent.
Just when he thought the beauty would ignore him for the rest of the night, a mellow voice, full of temptation and mysteriousness, like a whisper of the devil, came out from that pair of lips.
"Lisa."
"Pardon?" Johnny's head tilted slightly as his hands became slack and almost dropped him onto the ground due to shock.
She speaks! She is willing to converse with him, which means she will not ignore him in the future, just like she has always done in the past few days!
One word will lead to two, and two will lead to three, and then-
"My name is Lisa." Lisa's voice was clear and crisp, and her bloodless lips curved into a charming arch with that pair of bewitching irises turned crescent, showing her pleasant mood at this moment. "Nice to meet you, stalker."
"My name is Johnny..." Still dumbfounded at the attention he got from the beauty, he weakly protested the nickname she gave him.
"I know, but your action these past few days made the word stalker fit you more. Isn't it?" Lisa's eyebrows slightly rose as if asking him if he dared to say anything further.
Johnny had no way to refute that.
"You can call me that. As long as you're happy." He bitterly gave his acquiescence.
