A few decades ago...

A little girl with her neatly cut white hair ran holding her gown through the castle. It was bustling with guests.

The hem of the little girl's gown dragged behind her. She was only 3 but being an Alpha had grown more than her age. Taking a sharp turn at the stairs towards the royal wing she bumped into a woman.

"Oh my," the aged woman supported the young pup, "Ava how many times do I need to teach you not to run around the castle."

Little Ava looked at the royal guard, the witch that had served her grandmother and then her father. She had young Rosalia by her side as every Alpha child born to the royal bloodline was given a witch that would serve after the throne was taken over. Especially when the previous witch was old.

Ava took a step back and bowed, "My apologies."
