I narrowed my eyes at Aiden's hands as they clenched tightly onto the armrest just after the pilot announced that the plane was ready for take-off. The sky was clear, and I had to sit between two guys. My uncle and his fiancee were on the aisle, and Aiden took the window seat. We had a minor argument about who would sit next to the window, and Aiden won after he promised to delete a stupid photo I didn't even know he took.
"Aiden?"
"Hmm?" He glanced at me through the corner of his bright green eyes.
"Are you okay? You seem restless."
"Yeah, yeah, babe. I'm fine."
I knitted my eyebrows at him, especially at his use of the words I'm fine.
It was common knowledge that- whether you're a male or female-whenever someone says I'm fine, they usually aren't.
Aiden must've noticed his mistake because he weakly smiles at me, softly laughing under his breath. "Our always, remember?"
