Capítulo 1: Prologue
" How long were you gonna keep this from me "? The man in front of her had a slight grey tinge to his brown hair and the anger and disappointed on his face made Iris more ashamed of herself as she cried even louder.
She crumbled on the floor, holding his legs " Daddy, I'm sorry. Please forgive me ". The man kicked her away and suddenly started laughing before fading away like smoke. Iris felt her shame turn to confusion and fear as she looked around her.
It was no longer her father's living room, instead she was surrounded by darkness. Then she was forced to look at a pair of cold green eyes that came out of nowhere, " You were always delusional Iris ".
Iris frowned as she swatted his hand away and crawled backwards, " Get away from me ". He only smirked, walking closer to her, " I already did and it broke you ". Iris only glared at him as he pulled her up, " I'm not stupid enough to let you hurt me again ".
He only smirked, bringing her closer " You were stupid enough to give yourself to me once, you'll do it again ". Iris had a sinking feeling he was right as he spoke in her ear, " Don't you love me "?
Iris bit her lower lip as she pushed him away, " Love is for fools, you won't fool me again ". He still had a grin on his face as he suddenly started merging into the black fog surrounding them.
Iris shook her head lightly as she heard a familiar high voice, " Mommy wake up, we're here ". Iris opened her eyes, rubbing the sweat on her forehead as she looked around before relaxing her head in her airplane seat.
" It was a bad dream. Nothing more ", but no matter how many times Iris told herself that, she couldn't shake of the bad feeling in her gut. She was snapped out of her thoughts when a small hand was placed on hers " Are you alright Mommy? You were mumbling in your sleep ".
Iris smiled tiredly as she gave her hand a little squeeze, " Of course Felicity, just stress ". That didn't stop the worry in her daughter's green eyes from showing. It quickly morphed into anger as she pointed at her brother, " Sit down Remi, we'll be landing soon ".
Jeremy stopped jumping in his seat and glared at his sister with his carefree red eyes, " But I'm just excited. Stop pointing at me ". Felicity only smirked, wagging her finger in his face, " You mean this finger "?
Jeremy growled slightly as he tried to bite the finger but was stopped by Iris who was sitting in their middle, " Enough you two, your sister's right. We'll be landing soon so put your belt on and be quiet ".
Their dissatisfaction with Iris sudden interference was obvious as they pointed at each other, " I didn't start it ". Iris sighed, rubbing her temples as she looked at them both, " I don't care who did. I'm ending it and if you keep fighting, I'll send you back to Hugo ".
They both shut their mouths and quietly put their seatbelts on. Iris sighed as she looked out at the clouds outside. The image in her dream appeared again and she laughed bitterly [ Fuck you. Fuck love ]
