The second sentry we met looked much like Kain, but more deformed and wounded. It didn't take us long to take him down and grab his sword.
Tilgen exchanged his spear with the sword for better movement as I tried to look at the bottom of the stairs. But it seemed to go down and down with no end, making me feel slightly worried.
Tilgen came beside me and peered into the endless spiral before sighing. He bumped his shoulder with me and urged me to move on.
I took a deep breath and took a step forward. It was a long way down.
...
We defeated another three sentries before reaching the first cell beside the stairs. Inside was a "me" with a disfigured face.
"Hm?"
He didn't seem surprised to see us, just curious. I looked at the lock on the door and sighed.
I had searched all five sentries we had defeated before coming here, but I couldn't find any key nor any hints to where I could find it.
"You trying to free me?"
