Alex took his time looking at what used to be his maintenance hole since he finished campus. Now aged twenty-six, he couldn't imagine how he had gotten here so fast. The office was not dusty, and for some treason, everything had been in its exact place.

The very way he had left it the Friday before all hell broke loose and got him questioning what life was and why he had to be there to live it. He had been a ruthless businessman and a kind boss at the same time.

It almost was as if he had split personalities. However, no one had really complained because he had kept his distance from most of them.

Sure, he managed to chat with them on breaks or when he got to the company, but that was always just it. He always knew what he needed to do and how he needed to do it.
