Briceus pulled out from the kiss, his eyes still spotting a glint of his lustful desires. 

"Elizabeth."

"Mhm?" she dropped her hands from his neck, down to her sides, watching him cup her chin to have her meet him with her eyes. 

"I-- I want you... Truly... Madly... Deeply." Briceus studied her face as it glowed a brilliant colour but now was not the time to break her innocence. He allowed himself to think. Would it not make her become so clingy towards him? 

He smiled weakly and then said, "Do you understand what I mean when I say that I want you?" he watched as Lizzie's eyes fluttered her ignorance. 

But of course she was naïve about most things and clearly inexperienced. Even though in his heart, he truly cherished her action of reaching out to kiss him, he still believed that her last words before the kiss, was not a matter that she understood the gravity.
