Capítulo 28: Chapter 28 Reminiscent Memories

I leaned against the doorframe with crossed arms, watching as he rummaged through the room that used to be my study, looking for a photo of me to prove that I was his father while I looked around, the memories flooding through me. The number of times Aria would bring me a warm cup of tea as I worked, how I would sit her on my lap then kiss her and so much more.

"Have you never wondered what your father looked like?" I asked.

"Not really, no. I was satisfied with knowing what my mother looked like. I grew up hearing a lot of stories of her and a few of them with you in it. The whole country knew about your love story. Despite having everything, you fell for such a simple woman and you gave her the whole world until she left that world... and you left with her."

"I saw no meaning in life without her. It was all just an empty void... especially for someone like me," I muttered, going to stand by the window while he continued to rummage around.
