Arianna's POV

"Damn. Maybe now I see why he killed himself for you. You are quite a beautiful lady, aren't you?" With a quiet, almost pained, whisper, I felt myself stir as my eyes fluttered open and a male figure jumped back.

"Hello?" I nervously started, looking around the white room in which I was situated until my eyes landed on the winged man that stood in front of me, a small male child stood by his side with an equally curious look in his eyes that rivaled mine.

"Hello, Aria," the older man smiled, squatting down in front of me.

"Is this the afterlife?" I asked, sitting up properly.

"Kind of. I guess you could call it a sort of purgatory."

"Purgatory?" I echoed and he nodded his head, the warm smile unmoving from his face, doing well to hide the scary face. I had never seen glowing silver eyes like his before, especially ones with a golden border, almost like a halo.
