The knights left as soon as Izekiel's cold gaze met them.
Nesrin wanted to look away but he had her pinned beneath those boundless dark eyes as he mounted down from the horse.
He had changed a little in the past years, and yet it seemed like decades have passed since she last saw him. During those long lost years, all the little warmth that surrounded him seemed to be forgotten.
Nesrin tensed when his fingers clasped around her wrist and he glanced at the ivory bracelet.
"Where did you found it?"
"..."
One of the knight cleared his throat and exchanged knowing glances from his fellow mates. Nesrin was supposed to mute, how could she give a good answer.
But Izekiel's eyes were narrow as they held her in place. He was still suspicious.
Nesrin pointed at the ruins of cottage which would not be far deep inside the forest.
Izekiel let go of her hand.
"You must come with us,"
