Capítulo 3: Ch 3 - Magic?

After continuing to be enveloped in the particles they eventually started to dissipate after some time. When I came back to my senses I had just enough time to look up. I saw Layla fade away into green lights with a sad smile on her face.

'Wait what happened to Layla? I've already seen so many unbelievable events going on but that green light she faded into almost felt... sad.'

'She died?' I asked myself unable to believe it.

I had no true way of knowing that she indeed did die. However, I could feel it within myself. Having no way to explain it yet knowing in my heart that she was no more.

'Did she die by sending those water particles to be absorbed into me? That ridiculous but it is the only explanation. Although, I never saw Layla as a mother figure the fact that she died to give those blue lights to me caused me to have a weird feeling,' I thought unsure what to do next.

'Well, what is done is done... I guess now I need to find out what it is exactly that she gifted me.'

'There have been so many unexplained occurrences and I have yet to make heads or tails of them. First, I was able to fly, then I was stabbed by something which I could not even see. Finally, just now Layla faded into green lights after surrounding me in blue lights,' I racked my brain to try to come up with a plausible explanation.

After thinking about it over and over I came to the conclusion that it was...

'MAGIC? IS THERE REALLY MAGIC IN THIS WORLD?' I thought of all the possibilities newly being introduced to me.

'Can I do magic? Can everyone do magic? What types of magic are there? Wait if I really can do magic then I actually become the strongest in the future.' I said to myself with conviction.

'Don't tell me that the blue light that enveloped me and the wonderful feeling it brought along with it was water magic?' I questioned stupefied.

'Did my mother sacrifice her life to gift me the ability to use water magic?' I thought with absurdity. 'Why would she do that?'

'What would be the point in ending her life to make someone else's better? This makes no sense! But if she really did then I can't waste her efforts I need to test this right now,' I say excitedly.

'How should I do this? Do I need a staff to cast magic? No, both my mother and the nurse didn't. Do I need to learn some ancient language and chant in order for me to see its effects? Maybe, Layla did have her arms outstretched and was talking a lot before she passed away. But I don't even know the normal language that they speak!

How would I be able to use some sacred language to cast magic? That's bull I refuse to accept that I can't do magic now. Well, there's only one way to find out and that is to try my first attempt,' I say readying myself.

'I can't chant anything nor do I have any control over my body to use hand signs. So the only thing I can do is imagine it and wish it to happen.'

I first start to imagine running water as if it was out of a facet. However, after multiple attempts that proved to be unachievable.

'Maybe I'm starting with something too hard for my first attempt. I am still a baby after all.'

Next, I try to make a horizontal line of water. I imagine it as slim as possible and try every way to make something happen yet nothing does.

'Fuck maybe I really do need to learn some way in order to do magic... No, I won't accept that! There has to be away. I was reincarnated into this world. I will never let anyone use me. I will become the strongest. I will use water magic!' I shout with conviction.

I imagine the smallest, tiniest, most delicate water droplet I can think of. I imagine it over and over thinking with sheer willpower alone. I then spend the entire rest of the night trying to form the water droplet.

'I WILL USE WATER MAGIC!' I say one final time.

Then it happens the most fragile water droplet forms in front of me. It looks like if even a breath were to touch it the droplet would dissipate into nothingness.

'I did it... I finally did it! I used water magic!' I said in excitement.

*pop*

However, the moment I thought of something other than the water droplet it disappeared.

'...'

'Oh come on I did all that work and then poof it's gone. Well, it doesn't matter now. Since I formed that droplet I feel like I could recreate it anytime I wanted to.'

'Thankfully I also didn't have to learn to speak crazy words or fling my hands all around. I can call that a success. I get reincarnated into a new world with magic and learn it the first day I was born!'

'Damn I'm tired now. I haven't gotten any sleep in this world nor anything to eat. But now that I learned how to use magic I can finally get some rest,' I yawn to myself.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

*bang*

Some man that has silk clothes and a black crescent comes barging into the room that I was placed in. He was followed by 3 other people one of which was the psychotic nurse killer.

'What the hell? I'm trying to get some sleep! Don't you know not to disturb babies?' I moan inwardly.

"Is that the child that killed my wife?"
