Capítulo 77: Gold Leaves

Wang Jingyuan ogled the gold sheets. Each sheet was a rectangle about the size of her hand. They had the thickness of a sheet of modern printer paper and the malleability of aluminum foil. The sheets were smooth and not creased. The small stack of gold sheets, about a centimeter and a half thick, glowed under the candlelight. Wang Jingyuan was not sure what to make of them. Were these sheets solid gold? What was their purpose? Was this equivalent to Mo Xian giving her a gold bar?
