All eyes in the room drilled into my very being.
"Do you really need it?" Sieren asked.
I tried to explain, "It is all I have from my realm. It has my things, papers, camera, photos...a little green book from Valentin's library...my rings"
Blank stares.
"It's nothing. Summon Ratchez and let's go."
Talon stood up, handing Breeard his sword without a word. He came to stand before me and touched my face.
"I'll get it," he said. "It's the least I can do for you."
The knights protested the very idea, and loudly. Prince Talandrian hushed them quickly, obviously setting out a plan in his mind.
"Wait here for me at the edge of the minor garden, I will be a quarter of an hour." He readjusted his gloves. "Wait for me in case I need your help."
Talon looked back at me while adjusting his clothes to be more secretive. "Where is it?"
I hung my head, remembering what I saw earlier, "In Valentin's chambers, beside the cabinet. The doors are protected."
