Capítulo 57: Chapter 57: My Enemy, My Friend

Alaric POV

I turn around to take one last look at my home, knowing it will probably be my last. I left the papers on the desk in my office naming Quentin the new owner and a list of personal family items I hope to be back for one day. One would assume I feel a sense of loss or regret to be walking away from everything my family has worked to achieve for generations.

I don’t.

I feel light and free for the first time in my life. I am happy to leave behind all of the bad memories I have had in this house, like my parents murder/suicide and Raven leaving me. I am actually relieved to not have the responsibility of the entire pack on my shoulders. After all, I was never meant to be Alpha.
