Raizel saw Lyle standing at the entrance of the room. It seemed like he had finished cooking.
"You are done?" Raizel said, getting up from the counter.
"En." His mind was filled with so many distracting thoughts. It instantly cleared when he felt cold fingers rubbing at his brows as if straightening some intangible wrinkle.
Lyle froze. His heart went numb and his back felt soft like it could not stand straight anymore. He closed his eyes to savour the warmth the fingers brought.
"You are too young to frown so much. What's wrong?" Raizel didn't like the gloomy look on Lye's face, it reminded him of Lucas when the White Peak Sect was destroyed.
Even though he was neither close to the Elders nor disciples, something in Lucas had shattered that day. Raizel sighed.
Lyle opened his eyes suddenly to catch the sad and nostalgic look in Raizel's eyes.
