CH766: Taking Action

There was an initial silence on the Comms network. Abdul-Lateef sighed thinking no one would volunteer for a suicide mission.

However, it was soon clear he underestimated how deeply the Titan Guard doctrine was ingrained in the unit's troops.

All over the comms, the different individual members began to volunteer themselves. Arguments broke out as everyone wanted to secure the 'honour' of accomplishing a Titan Guard core mandate.

The Titan Guard was designed as a defensive and protective unit at its core. Each Titan Guard was mentally prepared to defend and protect their principal entity, be it a location, facility or individual, to their deaths any time they are deployed.

As such, they had been deeply indoctrinated to never fear death when it came to fulfilling their mandate.

If Abdul-Lateef appreciated how thorough this indoctrination was, he wouldn't have doubted the Guards' determination.
