Korede groggily woke up.

His chest was heavy and breathing was a little laboured.

He managed to get into a sitting position.

"Are you Ok, son?" He heard a familiar voice.

He looked to the side. He finally got a bearing of where he was.

He was in a conference room within the African Union building. 

The President's delegation, the presidential guards, AU officials and the building security were around.

The closest person to him was General Bolaji Balogun.

"I'm fine, sir. Just a little winded." Korede said to his uncle.

He tried to force himself to get up. General Balogun pushed him back down to a supine position
