Capítulo 61: The Shadow Looms I

"A little help here?!" Jihan shouted.

Adrian has yet to acquire attacking capabilities for beings that do not have a physical body. He has also not created a way for him to utilize magic freely as well since he has yet to control his powers. He can only think of one thing to help Jihan right now.

"I am going to do something to you. Just do not get too drunk on power." Adrian stated as his eyes started to glow green.

Adrian held out his right hand and a faint green aura left from it. The aura then transferred from Adrian's right and entered Jihan's body. The martial artist suddenly felt that his chi suddenly increased two-fold. The shadow monster that has the same strength as him suddenly felt weak.

Jihan could feel strength well up from his whole body as the utilized his chi to destroy the shadow monster. He covered his fists with chi and blasted the body of the shadow monster until it disintegrated from the barrage of attacks.

An emotion that is not that prevalent inside of Jihan started to surface. He suddenly felt that he could exact his revenge if he has this kind of power. His calm aura that was blue started to transform into a deep crimson as his mind started to get polluted with the immense power that he suddenly acquired.

"I knew that this would happen, but I did not think that someone as calm as him would succumb to it. It seems that you have an inner demon inside of you, Jihan." Adrian muttered as he could see that the power is already starting to pollute his mind.

This scene is not new to him as he already knew of this outcome when he suddenly increased the chi of anyone. In fact, Adrian knew what would happen if he let this go any longer. If he does not stop Jihan now, then he could create another being in Murim called the Crazed Demon.

Adrian clapped his hands and the aura that doubled Jihan's chi suddenly vanished like it dissolved in the air. Adrian did not just blow away the power that he gave to Jihan but he also blew away the aggression that he started to think on his mind. Jihan suddenly saw darkness for a few seconds as if his mind restarted.

"What did you do!?" Jihan asked as his memory of being drunk on power started to resurface. He suddenly felt scared of the emotions that he held earlier as he looked towards Adrian.

"I warned you, but it seems that you are not as composed as I thought you would be. Nevertheless, I managed to help you as you requested." Adrian answered.

Two individuals suddenly appeared in the room that they are currently located. Jihan noticed that the two individuals are familiar to him as the woman that entered with the man is actually his cousin. When the two individuals entered the room, they were shocked to see that it was Jihan and Adrian inside the room.

They followed the immense chi that suddenly sprouted from nowhere. They thought that someone from another faction came inside the barrier that they have created. If another problem appears while this weird situation is happening, then the surroundings will definitely be destroyed.

"Jihan! Where did the cultivator that had great chi go?" Ji-Ho asked.

"That was all Jihan. He suddenly got a burst of power for a moment when everyone in the room is in danger. A shadow monster suddenly appeared in the room to kill the three fainted girls over there." Adrian stated as he told the truth but not all the truth.

Ji-Ho could not believe that Jihan could get a burst of power, but it might have been a lifesaving technique taught to him by his deceased parents. She is just glad that Jihan is safe since she cares about him as she treats him like her little brother.

"Noona! Why are you here and not finding the source of the problem?" Jihan stated as he put his troubles about himself for now and wanted to focus on the situation.

"Before that, why is the barrier that you raised not separate normal humans from ones with abilities?" Adrian asked as he knows that it is the usual setup for situations like this.

"What are you talking about? Barriers like that can only be created by demigod beings. Do you know that there are very few demigods in the world?" Ji-Ho stated.

"I thought that would be possible to the person next to you. He has the blood of a god running through his veins." Adrian stated as he pointed to the person next to Ji-Ho.

"How did you know that!?" the man stated as he pointed his sword towards Adrian's neck.

"You cannot hide divine aura from my eyes. For now…at least. Give me the core of the formation then. If the shadow monsters devour these normal humans, then a massacre would happen here." Adrian stated as he reached his hand out towards the man.

"You should listen to him as he knows more about the world than any of us here right now." Jihan stated.

"Hanbin, give him the core." Ji-Ho commanded and Hanbin reluctantly gave the core of the formation that is actually a round bell.

"What are you going to do with it? The formation is already activated. If you tamper with it, then it might reveal the phenomenon here in the world." Hanbin stated.

Adrian held the bell and immediately felt that ten other people are channeling power towards it in order to create the barrier. Adrian's eyes suddenly glowed golden as the bell that is on the palm of his hands started to chime without him swaying it.

With every chime, the sound of the bell echoed in the area which also made the bodies of the sleeping normal humans vanish. The space around started to change as they could feel that they are transported into a real barrier that isolated a part of the world where only those with supernatural abilities could enter.
