Capítulo 52: A Night at School II

"I do not know if you are fearless or stupid because you talked with a grim reaper. I am starting to respect you for that and amazed at the same time." Jihan stated.

"So…you do not hate me like the rest of them." Adrian muttered.

"Hate is such a strong term. They dislike you because of your first impression. Sofia is like a mother to us, and you just hurt her in your first meeting somehow feels wrong to us. You are warming up to everyone though so do not worry." Jihan replied.

"You are not telling the whole truth, but I will let it slide. Also, try not to be so obvious. I am an empath." Adrian stated as he finally smiled as he found a lead.

"Hello there wandering soul." Adrian stated as his eyes glowed in a silver light.

"Ah! You can see me?" The ghost answered.

"Yes, I can see you clear as day." Adrian replied as Jihan squinted his eyes, but he cannot see anything. Jihan did feel that something or someone is inside with them.

"Can you not see that I am busy? I got to smell my collection for today." The ghost stated as it tried smelling the gym clothes that are locked inside of the lockers.

"Are you talking to the ghost?" Jihan asked.

"A perverted ghost." Adrian stated as he saw the way the ghost acts.

"Hey! I am a ghost of culture. Do not dare call me that or else I might get branded or remembered like that. Anyways, you guys do not look like grim reapers since you guys do not wear all black. Seriously, they make themselves known by wearing those all-black clothes that scream 'I am a Grim Reaper'." The ghost stated as it continued smelling the sweaty gym clothes.

"Can you guard the outside and see if anyone is near?" Adrian asked Jihan as he wanted to be alone with the ghost.

"Why? Is it shy around me?" Jihan asked.

"Not really but I worry that someone might suddenly check this area, so I need a lookout while I talk with the ghost here. Also, you are hovering over me makes it a little hard to concentrate. I do not want t" Adrian stated with a smile.

"Okay then. If it makes you concentrate more. It feels weird seeing you talk with air even though I know that there is someone there. It gives me the creeps so I will see you outside." Jihan stated as he went outside of the locker room.

"Now that we are alone. Let us hear what you got to say to me." Adrian stated as he released the aura of the lightbringer just enough for the ghost to feel the presence of the True Monarch of Hell.

The ghost wanted to escape but Adrian reached out his hand then made a motion of grabbing something. The fleeing spirit wanted to escape but it is now within Adrian's grasp. People think that ghost could just magically appear and disappear but that is not the case.

Spirits may be able to pass through solid objects, but they are not able to teleport. They can move at fast speeds, but they are landlocked in the area they died. Some exceptions would be those that latch onto a person to absorb their energy but once they get released then they will still be landlocked as well.

"You! Why…Why do you have the aura of the king of hell!?" The ghost stated as it started to panic.

"Oh! You know of the king of hell which means that you escaped from the underworld. No need to panic as I will not hurt you since I just need you to answer some of my questions." Adrian stated as his eyes shifted to a more golden color since he now layered his empath and lightbringer abilities.

"I did not escape but I was just granted some time before I ascend. I just wanted to fulfill my wish of knowing what a girl smell like. I was born with an ugly face and the inability to smell. I even begged the king of hell to approve my request which she did." The ghost stated as it is now on its knees since Adrian is not letting it escape.

"I do not care about your story that much, but I need information. How long have you been in this school?" Adrian asked.

"Just about a month and I only have about ten more days left before I return to be judged." The ghost answered.

"If you are here for a month then have you seen the spirit of the girl that committed suicide in the area?" Adrian asked as he wanted to verify if the spirit of the girl is not avoiding him.

"I know of that suicide because the other ghosts that are still trapped in this area often talk about it but there is no ghost. The girl immediately got escorted by a grim reaper about a day after her death. Her spirit is no longer roaming the school but there are other girl spirits roaming around but I guess that you already know that." The ghost answered.

"I do. I just thought that she avoided me, but it seems that I can no longer question her about her death. Are there any news about why she died? The living said that she did not have any tendencies." Adrian asked.

"I do not know much but the spirit living on the rooftop said that something pushed the girl, but she did not see the figure. She only saw a black mass that also emanated a nasty aura that even scares ghost away. I only encountered that being once when it was messing with the lockers." The ghost answered.

"So…what did it look like then?" Adrian asked.

"It looked like what the one living on the rooftop stated. It is just a mass of pure darkness. I immediately ran away when it felt like it looked at me. You can ask the one living on the rooftop for more details. That is all I know so can I please go now?" The ghost stated.

"Sure but be less of a pervert next time." Adrian stated as he no longer kept the ghost in his presence.
