Capítulo 25: Honey, I'm Sorry
Although Alice is from England, she is a foodie, she likes tasting menus from all over the world. "Abri, did you know? The classic kung pao chicken dish comes from the Sichuan region which is famous for its distinctive pepper. But for some people the Sichuan pepper tastes too spicy, so outside of this area, kung pao chicken is usually served not as spicy as it comes from.
In England, kung pao chicken may have undergone modification due to a fairly foreign raw material such as Sichuan pepper. And I really like this menu as when I cooked it for my family who is in England. Generally, kung pao chicken is cooked with garlic, ginger, and sauce mixed with a little cornstarch. Wow, it's delicious to eat while warm with white rice. Have you tried it? Abri nodded his head.
"I ate it, honey. It's just too spicy for me, I don't really like it." Alice smiled then took a small piece of chicken using chopsticks and put it in her husband's mouth. "Is it good?" asked Alice to her husband. "How? Is it too spicy?" Abri shook his head. Feifei smiles seeing the couple who are now getting along.
"I just found out that you can also cook Chinese food. Since when did you learn it?" Abri asked Alice who was now smiling at Abri. Alice took a drink of water and took a sip. Alice then looked at her husband with an affectionate gaze.
"Abri, when you left me, Papa told me that at that time you lived with your grandfather in China, therefore, I took the initiative to learn Chinese cuisine, as well as Chinese culture. Since then, I really like everything related to China. Even I am also learning Chinese. " Abri was very surprised by what he heard.
Feifei dislikes Alice even more because she feels that her chances of getting Abri's heart will be smaller and less likely. But Feifei is very smart and she is a two-faced girl. He will pretend to be nice in front of Abri and Alice, even though his heart is really rotten. All that happened because he loved people wrong.
"Earlier before I entered the room, I told the cook to cook this menu for you. I also know my husband's taste very well." Alice smiled while glancing at Feifei who looked very disappointed because it turned out that Alice knew Abri's tastes better than her, who had lived with Abri since childhood.
"Honey, you really are amazing. I love you even more." Abri praised his wife until he forgot that Feifei was still in the dining room. Abri and Alice didn't even offer Feifei whether to eat with them or not. Though usually Feifei and Abri always eat together at the same table.
"Sir, miss, please you guys enjoy this food, I will do other things first." Feifei left the husband and wife with great hatred. Feifei now hates Alice even more. After Feifei left, Alice asked Abri whether his father had contacted him or not.
"Honey, your papa has not contacted us, I'm also confused whether Papa has forgotten us. I'm sure your father is very busy." Abri tries to distract Alice. Either way, Abri will not let Alice get in touch with her father. Abri will make Andrew feel what his parents feel.
Soon, Abri will pick up his parents on the island. Abri hopes that both of them are still alive, he will invite his parents back and gather together with his younger siblings. Abri is sure that his parents must have suffered a lot all this time. And all because Andrew was too greedy.
"Abri, can I borrow your cellphone? I'll try to contact Papa. I'm sure something happened to my father. I feel very uncomfortable." Abri is forced to lend his cellphone to Alice, but Abri is not worried because he turned off the signal without Alice knowing.
"Come on, Papa! Answer my phone!" Alice is very annoyed because her call is connected but not answered by her father. Alice guessed, her father is indeed very busy right now.
"How, honey? Do you believe in me? Dad must be very busy now." Abri smiled with satisfaction. Finally, he succeeded in breaking the father and son relationship. Abri believes that Andrew is currently suffering greatly because he cannot meet his beloved daughter.
"Abri, I trust you. I will not contact my father again! If you miss me, he will definitely call me first." Alice stomped her foot and immediately entered her room again, she lay back down because her body felt so tired. Alice immediately closed her eyes while hugging the pillow which felt very soft. While Abri is currently in his study, he's investigating something.
"Feifei, prepare a helicopter for tomorrow morning. Alice and I are going on our honeymoon. As long as we are gone, you will take care of everything as usual." Abri has given orders. Feifei nodded and immediately left Abri's office. Abri immediately opened the drawer of his desk and took a photo of his parents.
"Mom, Dad, wait for me to pick you both up. I hope I'm not late. I'm sure this is the right time." Abri returned the photo of his parents and immediately left his office. Abri then returned to his room and saw his wife was sleeping very soundly. Abri smiled and lay down immediately. He embraced Alice from behind and slid his face against Alice's back.
Abri is very comfortable in such a position, when his heart and feelings are in turmoil, Alice is the only comfortable place for him to complain and share the burdens of life. Abri loves his wife very much, it's just that unfortunately, Alice's father is the person he hates the most right now.
"Honey, I'm sorry!" Abri tightened his embrace and closed his eyes too. The two people who loved each other fell asleep again. Tomorrow, they will look for Abri's parents. Abri is very hopeful that he will find his parents.
