Ilya painstakingly forced her body to move. 

She had not been in a good condition for a while now. It was as if rusting chains were tied around her ankles, compelling her to pull spiked spheres that were a few times heavier than her body. 

The lady knew the cause of her sufferings. However, she could not address it at the moment. She had no time to think about herself.

The road towards the neighboring fief was no less than onerous for Ilya. 

Every step she made, the ground would send a scorching jolt all throughout her body. The pain would never fail to make her stop in her tracks. Doubt would envelop her ragged body. 

Be that as it may, Ilya persisted. 

It was not the right time for her to surrender to the pain. She had to act fast or she would lose the opportunity to accomplish her goal.
