He didn't remember how long or even how he appeared in that vast, empty, space. The first and last thing he could recall from his past was a flash of images. A giant burning star. Blinding but soothing, all-consuming and all-loving, harsh but fair at the same time, beginning and the end of everything. 

'I can't see anything. Where am I?' Instinctively he swung his hands in the hope to feel something, which would help him identify his location. All he could reach was his own naked body. Desperately he started to run his hands all over his body, legs, face. Fingers on the wide-opened eyeballs, poking them until he felt a light pain sensation, he had eyes but couldn't see a thing.
