"What are you even saying?" Horror settled on Lolanthe's face when Dairon's words started to sink in.
"No. I can't let my daughter throw her life away and that's exactly what she will do if we don't stop it from happening. What do you mean you can't?"
Dairon contemplated with his chin in his hand, but he didn't say a word. What was he thinking? Jasmine wanted to find out. But at the same time, it would be awkward if they caught her eavesdropping on them. She did the only sane thing and returned to the mansion. If Dairon wanted her to know what they were discussing, he would tell her.
Back in the mansion, Dairon's and Lolanthe's conversation sounded like mumbling which she badly wanted to get out of her head.
"This is distressing." She muttered.
"What is distressing?" Rosetta's voice nearly made her jump.
"I'm sorry I startled you, my lady. You were pacing so I thought you needed help." She explained.
