"What would King Rian gain from choosing me anyway?" She didn't understand. This was the hardest part. If she knew what the god wanted from her, she would know how to handle him.

Dairon stood up and walked to the window. She saw a flash of anger in his eyes before it disappeared.

His fists were clenched. "If you suddenly found out that your mate had another mate before you, what would your immediate reaction be?"

She was not certain whether or not that was a hypothetical question. She had been in that exact situation before so it probably wasn't. She didn't need to think through it.

"I would be upset." She answered, based on her own reaction when she found out about Catalyah. She had almost flipped out especially when she realized that she looked a lot like Catalyah.
