"What do you mean?" Sinos felt his blood go cold in shock from what he had just heard.
Bardumond forced a healing herb into Dairon's mouth and hoped it would work. He tiredly slumped onto a chair. "His soul is incomplete. He lost half of it."
Sinos frowned. Did that mean what he thought it meant?
Bardumond's next words confirmed his fear. "I'm betting that the lost half is with Jasmine. She was dead when he saved her—he brought her back to life by giving her half of his soul."
"What an idiot." Sinos couldn't help cursing. It didn't make sense before but now it did. How could such a trivial thing as the rebound of a human summoning a demon affect a strong demigod?
It turned out that it was because the human had his soul. She could kill him by merely stabbing him—and the more she hated him, the easier it was for her to kill him.
"Does he not know the rules?" Sinos was flabbergasted.
