It has exactly been five minutes already and yet, their college professor in Fundamentals in Accounting hasn't arrived yet to start their first-period discussion. While everyone was happy about it, Sakura can't help but feel more anxious with Ken sitting literally next to her.
'Come on, what's the teacher taking so long?' Sakura can't help but complain to herself. 'Somebody, please... save me here. I think I am about to die of anxiety here.'
Just then, a girl she didn't know walked near Ken and suddenly called his attention. As Sakura looked at this girl a little bit closer, she immediately recognized this girl with the dark brown hair tied into a ponytail and with the bangs as one of those girls who Nakano Yuna later labeled as 'Dora and friends' the other day. Seeing that girl glared in her direction for a split second made her look away immediately.
"Can I help you?" Being as friendly as ever, Ken entertains this girl.
"My name is Watanabe Rin and u-uhm… c-can I…" It made Sakura almost cringed to her place when this seemingly evil girl suddenly turned out to be the prudent and innocent one as she fakes her cute, adorable tone in front of this guy. Girls her age are sick nowadays!
Ken patiently waits for this girl's reply.
"I have trouble solving an equation in our Algebra subject. Can you perhaps… help me solve it?" Sakura decides to sneak a glance at this girl's face to see what it looks like and immediately regrets it after seeing how Rin gave poor Ken her puppy-look face. She felt as if she was about to puke any minute now.
"Oh, sure. No problem! Show me where you are seated and I'll help you right away." Ken is now standing up from his seat without having any second thoughts and went straight towards Rin's seat with her, leaving Sakura dumbfounded.
' Ken, you idiot! Why do you have to be so nice in front of everybody? Damn you!'
"Huh, I get it. Rin pretending to be cute is like a sore to your eye, am I right?"
Sakura immediately turns his head when Nakano Yuna and Tanaka Ryo are now approaching her seat. She can't help but wonder if why do they always come here in pairs though.
"I saw your horrible expression just now." Yuna added.
Sakura nods her head in agreement. "I don't know why girls have to act like that when they could just be any normal human being… especially around guys."
"I know right? It makes me sick as well."
"But Yuna," Tanaka Ryo suddenly chimes into their conversation. "You're not even a girl to begin with--"
And before he could even finish his sentence, Nakano Yuna had already given him a quick uppercut. 'Poor guy…' Sakura thought.
"Stop talking nonsense, you dummy!" Yuna bellows at him. "And call me by my last name, will you?"
To Sakura, she says, "I'm happy that someone is finally on the same page as I am right now. I think you and I can be friends. What do you think?"
That made Sakura truly happy. Who would have thought at this point that having the same impression with other people could earn you a friend?
With a broad smile on her face, Sakura replies, "I would love to!"
"But I still won't go easy on you regarding academic matters though."
Eehh? That surprised Sakura quite a bit, but she only shrugs it off.
"Yes, if that's what you want… I am not even competing with you, though."
Sakura tries to explain herself to this extremely competitive girl in front of her but only falls in deaf ears in her second attempt. However, she knows that she would eventually get used to it… hopefully.

"Welcome home, mas...ter"
After bowing her head, Sakura froze for a moment upon seeing Mori Ken's smiling face as he entered through the door. Every time he arrives here, he is already in his casual clothes. Like today, for instance… Mori Ken wears a plain white shirt, khaki pants that is only a few inches below his knee and exposes most of his ivory skin from the knee below.
'Boy, he sure got flawless legs than me'… Sakura can't help but have these thoughts inside her head but immediately stop herself upon realizing that it most certainly sounds creepy just now.
Standing at Sakura's both sides right now are Cupcake and Strawberry, wearing the same bright smile as she is also wearing right now.
"Good eve to you all." Ken says to all of them, but to Sakura, he says while smiling, "Can you please accompany me on my table today?"
Feeling slightly annoyed for still being in the dark regarding Ken's true intentions, Sakura immediately replies to the lad still with that fake smile of hers. "O-Of course, master. I would love to."
But it is quite the opposite though. Sakura feels that her life battery would eventually drain and needs recharging anytime soon.
Cupcake feels annoyed right now as well along with her current mood, but for another reason which you already know by now. Mori Ken was that hot guy she was bragging to her crewmates about that always coming into this cafe to see her, and now she still can't accept the fact that he suddenly changed preferences and went with this boring Patty instead.
The envious girl eyes her co-worker Patty with jealousy. Sure, she is pretty enough to catch his attention. But when standing next to her, Patty's beauty is nothing compared to hers.
Sakura, on the other hand, looks at her boss, Ms. Cookie, as she silently asks for her help. But the latter only gave her a thumbs up and a sheepish grin while looking at the two of them together on a table.
Seeing that her boss is unwilling to help her, Sakura only wept in silence.
Soon, all the awkwardness that Sakura feels right now vanishes as the speakers placed at each corner of the cafe now plays her favorite song: 'It's You' by Lewis Brice. The intro of the song got Sakura suddenly hyped up, forgetting what she felt a moment ago.
"Oh my, I love this song!' she suddenly spoke out loud, surprising Ken with her sudden bizarre reaction.
"That's my favorite too," he says.
Sakura became anxious right away after knowing what she just did. People who listen to foreign songs could sometimes be tagged as weird, she thought. But hey, that's what they are promoting in this cafe….being weird, that is.
With an apologetic face, Sakura says, "I am so sorry for my sudden reaction, master… and for being weird out of the blue."
Eventually, Alex finds himself having a lopsided grin on the corner of his lips and looks at the maid in front of him with the same amusement he had earlier.
"No, don't be. As I said, don't be afraid to show your true self. " Then he pauses for a bit, his eyes directly staring right into hers as the song blasts in the background.
"At least… not in front of me."
If you want, you could try listening to the song "It's You" by Lewis Brice and tell me if you agree with me if you think it is one of the most romantic songs you have ever heard in your entire life. xD
