"Eh? No! I want the necklace your wife is wearing, not your wife."
"What? Her necklace? But… why?"
Feihren hurriedly cleaned up the horrible misunderstanding immediately as the gazes of the people all went to the shining green necklace dangling on the queen's neck.
The king had calmed down, and was also wondering why anyone would want a seemingly ordinary necklace that a queen possesses. Sure it could be worth a lot considering it is from royalty, but it shouldn't be worth that much right? To the point that one would be willing to participate in an all-out war just for a piece of jewelry?
Feihren feigned ignorance as he said. "I find it quite nice. It would be a lovely gift for my special someone in the future. Besides, I am only asking this much for my participation. Is even this too much for you?"
"No, it's not like that, it's just…" King Samson glanced at Queen Angelique as he proceeded, "Give us time to talk about this for now. We will give you our answer tomorrow."
"Okay then, I'll hope we can solidify our agreement tomorrow." Feihren calmly replied.
The necklace that the queen was wearing at that moment was said to be a treasure passed down from generation to generation in her family. As such, it was an heirloom that holds a lot of meaning to the queen. Even the king had a hard time making this decision for her. He wanted her consent regarding this matter.
...
The next day, Feihren was called out to the throne hall as to receive the king's reply regarding the reward which he requested. Feihren stayed within a room in the castle during the night, so he arrived at the throne hall without much of a dely.
The hall was very quiet when Feihren arrived. Aside from three elders and two generals, there were not many people in here compared to how many there were in the meeting last night.
The king stood forth as he announced his decision.
"We have agreed on the terms sir Feihren had established. We will give the necklace along with all the benefits we would give to our benefactors during a war, but on one condition."
"Condition?" Feihren curiously asked, since when did people asking for favors so flagrantly set some stupid conditions? Is this common in Nuwiell? Or is it because they are royalty? Even though Feihren thought that this was a bit unreasonable for someone who was asking favors, he was somewhat curious as to what the condition was.
"Yes, you wouldn't even have to wait for the war to begin. We will gladly give you the necklace, but only if you can prove your strength to be worthy of being our allies."
'This just took a 360-degree turn huh? Since when did I to be their ally? Ahh, even in here, the pride of royalty and nobles is still evident. Luckily it's not as bad as those in Wolfenstein. Being prideful is one thing, being arrogant is another'.
"Fine by me, but who's gonna be my opponent?"
Feihren then let his eyes drift about to see if any of these generals or elders would be the ones fighting against him, checking if any of them were formidable.
"You needn't look any further. It will be me who's gonna fight." King Samson proudly replied in an overbearing tone.

'A barbarian type class with more than a thousand HP, hmm not bad. His damage and his equipment are pretty decent, and that special skill could be useful in some ways I think'.
Feihren became nostalgic at how this situation feels… this felt like the times when someone would challenge you to a PVP battle back in Gaia's Paradox, wherein you would assess your opponent's strength. Only this time, Feihren had full transparency on what his enemy was capable of, so it was really no sweat for him to prepare in advance against him. Besides, this king was definitely outclassed in so many ways no matter who was watching this happen.
This gave Feihren an idea. Since the time he transmigrated to this world, he had never changed his [Supreme General] class. He had only ever equipped his sub class to create the Demonic Carbine. Without thinking about it too heavily, Feihren hurried as he opened his inventory through his consciousness. He had a specific class in mind. It was his best PVP class! With him having a win rate of 98% on this class back on Gaia's Paradox, this was certainly gonna be his choice no matter what.

It is a rarely used class, even rarer in PVP battles! During the early days of Gaia's Paradox, and the first release of this class, many rookie players believed that this was "trash" with it having really bad side-effects to the skills. In general, the hard layering of its skills made the Spec Ops Class really unpopular. It was once meta'd to substitute temporarily for other sniper type classes because of [Nevermiss], but was soon replaced by higher damage amplifying classes and was once again forgotten.
Only Feihren and a few other expert-class people were capable of spamming wins through the use of this class. Feihren discovered that layering the skills was possible for this class. He would activate [Nevermiss] blatantly in front of the enemy which would then be followed by [Sudden Flash] and [One with the Shadows] that would cause the enemy to miss his initial attack. Consequently, the "movement" caused by the sudden flash does not affect the Nevermiss at all, because teleportation does not count as manual movement in the game's code. Feihren had abused this technique and the class rejoined the meta for a while.
Many new players attempted this kind of playstyle, but ultimately failed, ending up mini-stunning themselves while charging [Nevermiss]. Only expert players were able to mimic what Feihren was doing back then. The gap of 0.5 seconds where you were charging an attack and using the two different skills, without a single millisecond missing, was a feat only people with high-level reactions could achieve!

'Equip'>>>'Class'>>>'Spec. Ops'.
"Ready when you are then?"
Both the King and Feihren had arrived in a gladiator-like arena, where the few generals and elders, along with the queen, were spectating high above the audience's platforms.
A strong aura emerged from King Samson as he powerfully roared. His buff body was evident even under his barbaric armor. Wielding the gigantic ax he charged forward without hesitation.
In all honesty, Feihren wasn't looking forward to this kind of fight. Proving his worth on the battlefield had always made Feihren happy back when he was a general, but having a strength contest just for show was just too childish for him.
With a single hand, he grabbed the blade of the great ax as he flung it to the side, bringing King Samson along with it! The damage dealt to Feihren was minimal. It was so small that it was regenerated after a few seconds. The cut that appeared on his hands was healed almost instantaneously. But as for the king…
"Base HP: 1,700 (-200)"
A single throw and it caused that much damage?
"Not bad!"
The king stood up, still having a proud grin on his face. Feihren did not bother with this as he was eager to end this as fast as possible.
'Activate: Nevermiss'
Without wielding any weapon, Feihren slowly crouched as his fist was pulled back like he was charging a strong punch. King Samson did not mind this as he once again charged forth. Activating his skill, his ax glowed with a golden brilliance as it was aiming down at the unmoving Feihren,
'Sudden Flash'
*Boom!
A loud explosion sounded out from the arena as dust flew all over the place. But when the dust cleared around the axe's strike, Feihren wasn't there! He was at the corner of the arena, still in his crouching position. King Samson was slightly baffled by how Feihren suddenly evaded his axe, but he once again charged forth, swinging his axe sideways this time as to avoid flinging dust that would also affect his sight. The axe seemingly landed on Feihren's body as all of a sudden.
'One with Shadows'
*Whif!
A loud miss? The ax flew right past his body?
Within the next instant, a bright light suddenly appeared on Feihren's fist!
"It's over" Feihren casually said, as his fist streaked forth towards King Samson. It held a peculiar aura that made it feel… Unavoidable!
*Boom!
"Base HP: 1,500 (-1,250)"
With the sudden collapse of the king the battle was concluded immediately, as people rushed forth to the king for medical assistance. But all of a sudden…
A bizarre figure covered in metallic green and silver armor appeared in the arena as it stared at Feihren with great killing intent. But to everyone's surprise, it turned towards where the king was lying unconscious as it suddenly rushed forth, attempting to attack the king!
'Sudden Flash'
Feihren received the sudden attack from the stranger that suddenly appeared!
"Who are you? And what are you trying to do?" Feihren asked coldly.
A lustful sounding voice answered
"Me? Oh not that big of a deal, little boy. I just wanted the king to be dead, and as for who I am? I am Your Majesty of course."
The helm of the ominous green armor opened revealing the face of the culprit.
"Queen?"
